Scottish Indoor Rowing Championships 2008

Had a really enjoyable day. The event was well run and the arena was a good place to row.

Royal Mile (1807m)

Pretty happy, overall with my race. Mind you, after 500m the footplate managed to come out of its hole but managed to fall into another hole so my left foot felt slack while my right foot was tight Mad

Decided not to stop but keep going.

7.22.4 - 2.02.4 average - Gold

1000m

Very disappointed with my race and my time was shocking. Mind you, I have learned that I can not do two races at one competition.

500m - 1.55.8 - target achieved
1000m - 2.01.6 - legs had nothing to give - the mind was willing but the body wasnt.

3.57.4 - 1.58.7 average - Silver

Mind you, there was no way I was going to win the 1000m - the lady beside me was pulling 1.33 - 1.39 during the warmup and during the race she went through the first 500m in 1.40 Shocked

I can not even do that for a flat 500m.

Re pictures Jef all medal winners got there pictures taken however I do not know where they will appear. Personally, I think that the event was a great success cheers
